First Class Info

Below is all of the information you need for your first Music and Me class. We can’t wait for you to join us!

Class Location

Our Summer classes will be outdoors Francis Park near the corner of Eichelberger and Tamm across from Hope UCC. If it is raining, class will be moved inside to the chapel at Hope UCC. We will send an email by 8am the morning of class if we move inside.

Parking for outdoor classes:
When parking, please back into the spot with your rear right wheel touching the curb. They will ticket you if parked incorrectly. This is so no one backs into pedestrians or bikers.

Parking for indoor classes:
You will enter the doors on Eichelberger, and go up a small set of steps  for indoor classes in the chapel. You may park along Eichelberger, the lot behind the church, or anywhere along the park.

Class Communication

You will receive automatic reminders via Sawyer before upcoming classes. We also use Sawyer to directly email families from class, so be sure it doesn't end up in your spam.

Class Makeups

Your classes never expire. If you miss a class, just send us a message and let us know when you would like to make it up. It can be a different day and time. We are very flexible and know everyone is busy or little ones get sick!

What to Expect

Music & Me is a whole-family, interactive music program designed to connect children and their grown-ups through music, movement, and play.

Each week, we explore a variety of music—including original songs, instruments, and books from around the world.

This class is an invitation to slow down, connect, and have fun together. While designed for early childhood, everyone benefits from the joy and regulation that music and movement bring. Research continues to show the powerful impact music has on our minds, bodies, and spirits.

We encourage you to step away from the busyness of life and join your child in the experience—while also reconnecting with your own sense of play and wonder. This class is for all of us.

Grandparents are especially welcome! Whether they’re Nanas, Poppys, Paw Paws, Meemaws—or any special name—family members of all kinds are invited to join the music-making.

Social Story

We strive to make our classes a place where ALL are welcome! A place that honors each child and family and welcomes them into a community of parents that feel like old friends.

This is a social story that you can share with your child before their first music class. Social stories introduce new situations, helping children know what will happen and reducing anxiety. These stories explain appropriate behaviors and social cues, making it easier for children to understand how to interact with others.

By knowing what to expect in music classes, children can feel more confident and in control during social interactions.

Head on over to our social story page to share the social story with your child!
